More than 35 artists have come together in a street art project to combat graffiti vandalism and revitalise over 40 streets and laneways in Cronulla. ‘Walk The Walls’ kicked off on 8 November, allowing onlookers the opportunity to view artists as they actively work on their masterpieces with a deadline to complete by sunset, Sunday 10 November.
The event was a major drawcard for local residents and tourists to view our local suburb transformed into an enormous outdoor art gallery of incredible colour and beauty, by an array of artists with styles ranging from street art, stencils, pattern making, portraiture, abstract, illustrative and urban art, with all mural’s protected by anti-graffiti coatings.
Artist, Zackary Bennet-Brook @saltwaterdreamtime is a contemporary Indigenous artist, who’s art is a unique blend of contemporary Indigenous culture and surf culture.
Artist; Taiya Bukovsky @awolcreations, is a local Shire artist, who as long as she can remember has been drawing all over her textbooks. She loves leaving her mark on the world with illustrations that aim to brighten up someone’s day.
